We extend a warm welcome to Brampton Golf Club. We hope our members and visitors alike find our blog and website content interesting and informative.
The golf club is situated in a beautiful area of North Cumbria with the course highest points perched some 1000ft above sea level where you are presented with stunning panoramic views of the Lake District mountains, North Pennines and Southern Scotland.
The course is best described as undulating heathland and with its excellent natural drainage offers a challenge to all standards of golfer throughout the year.
Relax before and after your round in our warm and comfortable clubhouse and let our staff take care of you as you reflect on a great day’s golf. All our staff are dedicated to serving you and share the beauty and friendship of Brampton Golf Club.
Our professional, Stewart Wilkinson, has a fully stocked shop where quality items can be purchased to remind you of your day. Stewart and his staff also run the range and offer first class instruction by arrangement either on the course or in the designated practice areas.
Our club was founded in 1909 and the course was originally designed by James Braid and Golf World in 1995 described the course as “The Jewel of Cumbria” with comments likening the course to a “mini Gleneagles”. More recently we were pleased to be rated and featured in Golf Monthly’s 100 Hidden Gems in 2011.
We currently have membership vacancies in all categories so, whether a visitor or prospective member, why not come along and experience our “hidden gem” and enjoy the challenges presented by Brampton.
